Who are your best friends on dotblu? Let everybody know on your Top Friends!
Now you can change the order of your friends and let everyone know who your best friends on dotblu are. Your top friends will be the first friends displayed on your profile.
To change your top friends, use the 'friends' pull down menu and go to 'top friends'. On top, you will see a list of all your friends, on the bottom, you will see your 100 top friends. Click on your friends' image on the top to add them to your top friends, and drag and drop them on the bottom to change the order of your top friends. You can add up to 100 top friends, and the top fifteen will be visible automatically on your profile.

Add a picture to your question's title!
We've added a new way to illustrate your questions, by adding a picture to the header of your question. We noticed that many users like to have an image to illustrate the question itself, in addition to the illustrations for the choices. Until now, many would add an extra choice for this, titled 'don't click here'. Now that won't be necessary, as you can add the image directly to the header.
To add an image to your question, after you enter your question in the creation form, there is an 'add image' link right next to your question. It works just like the images for the choices, where you have an option of either uploading an image or using Google image search to find one.

New Quizzes are in Effect
As of today we have changed the way that quizzes are settled. Here's how they work now:
- You create a quiz by filling out the forms as usual, but now you can set the ante and the close date of your quiz.
- After creating your quiz, choose the correct answer from the preview screen, and click "create" again.
- You will not be able to answer a quiz that you create. At the moment, there is no creator reward for creating a quiz.
- When you answer a quiz, you will be informed immediately if your answer is correct. You will have to wait until the quiz is settled before your BluBucks are rewarded and to know how many BluBucks you've earned.
We think this will be a big improvement for the quizzes, and will give players an incentive to create more challenging quizzes, and give users an opportunity to earn even more by playing quizzes. Coming Soon: Win more with quizzes.
Starting very soon, you'll be able to win more on quizzes than the current 100 BluBucks per question. Right now you can only win 100 BluBucks for every quiz you answer, no matter how many people have played, or how many got it right or wrong. Starting very shortly, quizzes will work very similarly to Majority Wins and Prediction questions, where the pot is divided among the winning players.
What that means is that when you answer a quiz correctly, you'll win more depending on how many other players get the question wrong. That means that more challenging questions will have a much bigger payoff than they have now, but questions that are too easy will have very little payoff at all, if any. That's because all players risk an ante when they play, which is added to the pot. When the question is settled, the pot is split between the winning players. If everyone wins the question, everyone just gets their ante back.
You'll still know right away if you answered the question right or wrong, but you'll have to wait until the quiz is settled to receive your winnings.
Important note: All quizzes created before the transition will still reward 100 BluBucks automatically as a correct answer. For the remainder of the time these quizzes are still open (about a week), both types of quizzes will coexist on the site until the last of the old type close.

Name your price! Users' market now open at dotblu store!
Have you collected a few extra houses, landscapes or cars for your dotblu world that you're not using anymore? Would you like to sell those items and get your BluBucks back so you can place a few more bets and win more BluBucks? Well now you can! Starting today you can sell any item you own in the dotblu store.
To sell an item, just go to your 'edit world' page from your profile, and find the item you'd like to sell. There will be a button that says 'sell this item'. Then you set the price you'd like to sell it for. If you set the price below what you bought it for, your Net Worth will go down, but those BluBucks will be added to your Balance so you can place more bets and play more game challenges. If you set the price for more than you bought it for, your Net Worth will go up, but the item might be harder to sell, especially if it's not sold out in the dotblu store.
So if you've got a few items to sell, put them on the market. And if you've been looking for some of those hard to find items like Lamborghinis and Ferraris and classics that sell out quickly, check and see if other users have put one up for sale. From the world store, click on 'more info' to see if any users have placed the item on sale. Check out the dotblu store and see what's for sale!

Play Games, Earn BluBucks
If you're a regular gamer on dotblu, you may have noticed the amount of BluBucks you've earned mysteriously increasing. That's because we've added a new feature that will reward you with BluBucks as you get a higher score. The more you play, the more BluBucks you'll earn.
Also, all you Question of the Day writers will be happy to know that from now on the QOTD will be rewarded with 5 Tokens, equal to 10,000 BluBucks, so you'll be able to buy all those extra goodies in the dotblu store.

Now you can earn free Tokens for the dotblu mall!
Many users have been asking for a way to earn free Tokens to spend on the goodies in the dotblu mall, but Tokens were only available for purchase... until now. We've partnered with Offerpal Media for a way that you can earn free Tokens to spend on all the houses, cars, landscapes, tools and gifts that are available in the dotblu mall.
The Tokens bonus offers section will let you complete surveys and questionnaires and earn Tokens doing it, absolutely free. There are many offers to choose from, so try it out, and earn some of those coveted Tokens without pulling out your credit card. Look for the 'earn tokens' section of the 'play' menu on the main dotblu page.

Pick up some new Gifts and Tools at the dotblu Mall!
We've overhauled the dotblu store and added many new items available for purchase by users with Tokens: Tools and Gifts! Tools will give you special privileges for your bets and profiles, and gifts let you give your friends something special to show your appreciation for them. Here's a rundown of the new items available:
Bet Tools:
Bet Tools can be activated when you create or play a question, and will give you special powers in that question.
- Magnifying Glass - The magnifying glass enlarges your profile picture at the top of a question you've created. This will give people a better look at your picture, without having to visit your profile!
- Door Prizes - Give gifts to the first several players that answer a question you create. Other users will be racing to your bets trying to get a gift! These gifts are available as door prizes:
- Case of Beer - Give a tall cold one to the first twelve users to answer your question.
- Pot of Coffee - Offer a steaming cup of joe to the first twelve users to answer your question.
- Bottle of Champagne - Pop a bottle of bubbly and give a glass of champagne to the first six users to answer your question.
- Pizza Pie - Get a pizza delivered and serve up slices to the first eight users to answer your question.
- Box of Chocolates - Grab a nice box of chocolates and offer a sweet treat to the first twenty-four users to answer your question.
- X-Ray Vision - X-Ray Vision allows you to view comments on up to five majority wins questions before you've made your selection. Give yourself an advantage when choosing your answer by getting a sneak peak at what other users think!
- Megaphone - The megaphone enlarges your comments and profile picture in a bet you've created. Speak with more authority than the other users when you use a bigger voice!
Profile Tools:
Profile tools will show up on your Home page and let you add new features to your profile:
- Heckle Blocker - The heckle blocker blocks heckles from other players and automatically heckles the person heckling you. Have you been getting heckled too much? Give those hecklers a taste of their own medicine!
- Picture Frame - The picture frame puts a custom border around your profile picture for one week. Spruce up your profile for holidays and special occasions with these great decorations!
- Radar - Radar lets you see last 10 users that looked at your profile. Ever wonder who's been checking you out on dotblu? Now's your chance to find out.
- Eavesdropper - The eavesdropper lets you see the last 10 users that gave you props or heckles. Find out what others are saying about you behind your back.
- Radar Scrambler - The radar scrambler blocks other users from using their radar tool to tell that you've recently visited their profile. Don't like others knowing if you've been looking at their profile? Make sure you travel undercover.
- Eavesdropper Scrambler - The eavesdropper scrambler scrambles other user from telling if you sent them props or heckles using the Eavesdropper tool. Make sure your respect, or possibly disrespect, stays anonymous.
Gifts:
Gifts let you give a special something to a good friend, you'll be asked when you purchase one who you'd like to send it to so it appears on their profile.
- Beer - Give a tall cold brew to a thirsty friend.
- Cup of coffee - Give a steaming cup of java to a friend who needs a pick-me-up.
- Glass of Champagne - Give a glass of bubbly for a friend who's got something to celebrate.
- Slice of Pizza - Give a hot slice of delicious pizza to a hungry friend.
- Chocolate - Give a piece of delicious candy to a sweet friend.
- Hug - Show your appreciation for a great friend by sending them a big hug.
- Heart - Express your deep love and affection for one of your best friends by sending them a heart.
- Teddy Bears - Show you have a friendship that will never fade by sending this gift of teddy bears always hugging.

Three new games!
We added three new games to the dotblu arcade today! Surf over to the Game Lobby to check them out. Here's what we've added:
Gems Swap Want to collect some precious gems to add to your BluBucks bounty? Now you can collect them -- and destroy them -- as part of our fast-paced and exciting new puzzle game: Gems Swap! Use your mouse to swap gems from one space to the next to create rows of three or more. Rows of three or more identical gems are destroyed, and gems will fall from the ceiling to replace them. When a gem has been destroyed in a particular space, it will turn from black to light blue. Destroy a gem in every space to proceed to the next level, which will be a different and more challenging game board. Be careful to use every space on the board before time runs out and the game is over!
Dot Clusters Puzzle out how to destroy a barrage of falling dots in the latest dotblu game, Dot Clusters! Use the up or down arrows to rotate the dot clusters, and the right and left arrows to move them from side to side as they fall from the ceiling. Use the space bar to drop the clusters to the floor. Create groups of 4 or more adjacent dots to destroy those dots. Earn extra points by destroying more than one cluster of dots at once. If you earn enough points, you will proceed to the next level, where there will be an extra row of dots at the bottom of the game screen, and more dot colors will be added. Don't let the dots pile up to the ceiling, or the game is over!
Burst Your Bubbles II In this new twist on a classic dotblu game, destroy all the bubbles by clicking on similar colored groups of three or more. You have to hurry, though, as another line of bubbles will periodically appear at the bottom of the game screen.
Keep destroying bubbles to prevent them from reaching the top of the screen -- once they do, the game is over. As you continue to play, you'll reach higher levels, and the new lines of bubbles will appear even faster, making the game more difficult. You'll have to have pretty quick reflexes to keep up!
